What does this mean?
HRV or Heart Rate variability is the use of ground breaking biofeedback technology that allows us to quantify the bodies ability to adapt from stress. Using the most accurate method (a 60sec morning readiness reading) we can predict the bodies state of readiness or ability to adapt from a training session. Allowing us to provide a 100% individualised training application service. Which until now has not be possible.
Meaning that when used correctly under the guidance of our qualified physiologists we can reduce stress, increase training adaptation (and performance) and decrease the chance of illness or burnout over a traditional coaching method.

How does it work
We still keep the basics of coaching throughout our service. A healthy coach-athlete relationship is the foundation block in achieving this. Therefore, we provide initial phone or face-to-face consultations to ensure we can understand the individuality of each person. We’ll spend time helping you to identify your ambitions, whilst using our expertise to apply these within your unique lifestyle. Our coach’s knowledge surrounding performance testing and power profiling means we can capture all the data needed to provide the best coaching service possible. Are you ready to smash those goals?

Jake Yarranton
Coach & Bike fitter

I am a professional bike fitter and coach and I founded Precise Performance in 2018 with the sole aim of helping riders increase their comfort, enjoyment, and performance. I have been completing bike fits since 2010, working with a wide range of cyclists from those just starting out to seasoned professionals. The skills and expertise on offer in our studios are limited to a small number of bike fitters around the world.
I have been coaching since 2017 which goes hand in hand with my passion of helping people become better athletes. Coaching can be provided through many formats and my interest to help riders improve doesn’t just stop at what power or speed they can ride at. It is about making sure every rider has the best support off the bike as well as on the bike which consists of everything from nutritional support to strength and conditioning.

I am a final year Master’s Student studying Sports Physiology. I have a passion for performance enhancement and over the years have focused my research on performance for endurance athletes. Covering everything from Nutrition for performance through to strength and conditioning for endurance athletes. I believe a research driven approach to training is the fundamental step in achieving superior performance. I have been developing my coaching skills over the last 3 years which has taught me a huge amount whilst working alongside a diverse population of athletes. From aspiring U23 performance athletes to masters level recreational cyclists.
Along with this I have been focusing on racing and training during my studies. This journey has taken me to racing all over Europe, from kermesse racing in Belgium to the National Road series in the UK.
